My home is very clean but I tend to leave my collection of plugs and power supplies for my computer setup well alone for fear of upsetting the delicate sensibilities of BT's DLM.
It's getting rather dusty under there so going to clean it tomorrow afternoon when I get home from work (hurrah short day) but not sure whether to log off in the router firmware first or just pull the power.
I gather DLM does not worry about the PPP session so I've probably answered my own question but can anyone give better advice?
I suppose theoretically if you terminate the PPP connection prior to power down you should have less chance of a stale session when you reconnect.
I'd just power down or leave the dirt in peace. ;D
It is starting to look a right mess down there so need to do something.
Stop looking? ;)
;D
Follow Quentin Crisp's dictum:
After the third year, the dust doesn't get any worse. (on why he doesn't clean his apt.)
I'd be turfed out if I did that.
;D
Explain the concept came from a great philosopher... ;)
;D
I powered down the server two years ago to replace a dead fan and literally found an insect colony living inside. So yeah... clean it!

Had a dead silver fish arrive with my old HP laptop. Gave me a scare, I expected the thing to come alive!
What the laptop or the silverfish? :eek4:
Both!
(I set that up really nicely for a change! ;))
