Title: Clearing a stuck profile
Post by: scook94 on Nov 21, 2010, 18:55:58
The MiL moved into a new build house and had her HomeHub connected for a week before we got her laptop connected. Unfortunately a bad filter connected to the main phone has meant that she now has a bad IP Profile, 135kbps as opposed to the 3.8Mbps the router is syncing at.

BT won't entertain us until another week is up, but in the last 3 days of the filter issue being resolved we are seeing no improvement.

Is there a way to get the exchenge to start "relearning" without waiting for BT?

TIA

Steve,

Not if BT's her ISP, Steve.

It can take up to 5 days for the profile to rise.

Okay, thanks. Was just hoping for a shortcut, but looks like she'll have to put up with the slow speeds until the end of the week.

Many thanks folks.

I'm pleased (and somewhat surprised) to report that MiLs line resynced to the proper speed over the course of the week, without having to call BT to intervene!  ;D
