there is a magnifying glass image at the end of the first line on each result,click on it and you can get a preview of the site you mouse over

I'll just add this here instead of a new thread. Amazon search features.....can to stop it predicting what it thinks you want, you know the predictive texting type thing they use.
I don't think so, but you don't have to select what it offers.

Well, if it really bothers you, you can stop it easily if you are using Firefox. You need the Adblock Plus add on. When you have that installed, you configure it to include a blocking filter for this script:
|http://completion.amazon.co.uk/search/*
If you do that, then the dropdown box below the search box does not appear at all and no suggestions are made.
I think they have had flavours of it for a while. Google do beta stuff for ages.

Hmmm. I've noticed they have set me down as Camden Town (probably a node somewhere). Not helpful. I always want to search Worldwide, or UK wide. I don't want, nor need anything closer than that, unless I specify. And even then it will be my destination not my location 90% of the time. So... :rant2:
The only way to fix it is tell Google where I live? Hmmm.. I wonder if "UK" will work?
