Title: Problems With MSN Messenger and Netgear Router?
Post by: myddryn on Apr 24, 2007, 06:11:28
Hi
Thought this might help some folk if they're having sign in problems with MSN Messenger using a Netgear Router on Windows Vista.

- Upgrade to the 3.01.31 (UK) or 3.01.32 (non UK) firmware
- Click Start
- Type cmd in the search box
- Right-click cmd.exe when it appears under Applications
- Click Run As Administrator
- Type the following: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
- Press Return/Enter
- Restart your computer

Took me ages to find this fix on the netgear website, so thought it may be useful to have it posted here too.

Myd
pleased to have found an ISP that does what it says on the tin  ;D
