Hi
Have just upgraded to iLife 11 no problems encountered as reported elsewhere on other forums and Web space.
Took about 35mins to update and a further 2 mins to upgrade library of 2400 photo's and 5 videos, layout great but geo-tagging takes a bit of getting used to locating places etc. Emailing photo' s much easier as you can do it right from inside program and you have a slider to see sent progress.
Looking to get further into it over next few weeks.

Thanks Roger, I installed it but not had chance to play so far, there was a lot of permissions to correct afterwards.
I'm sticking to 09 version, iPhoto has templates now for emails you cant send via mail directly from iPhoto but you use its own email program as such, there are a few bugs as well so ill wait tbh, also in 11 you cant move the edit image floating panel which is a real pain now its fixed, had a go in the Apple shop, seems they have done away with a lot of right click menu's as well, maybe it will get better but for now I can see no reason to upgrade for myself.
If you don't use iLife does that mean you have no life ;D :out:
Hi
Well you can send photo's from inside the program with or without templates, works fine for me.
Some areas are difficult to get used to but so far have not encountered any major ones.
Yes Steve I did run Onyx after I had restarted laptop everything seemed OK did download and install " fix " recommended by Apple which has to be done after iLife 11 install BUT BEFORE libraries are updated.
As stated before nearly 3000 pictures and 5 video's took a very short time complete.
Hope all goes well on everyone's upgrades

Ill wait until the first updates to iPhoto before buying it
if I do but why fix what is not broken, but in all honesty the taking away of some features seems to have dulled the product down in my eyes, iPhoto 09 seemed less about social networking, and more about your actual photos and videos and I liked using mail to send directly, but that's just me. The rest of the suite got tweaks which are ok if you use them a lot, iWeb is the same as it was before, no change. Glad the upgrade went ok for you :thumb:
