Title: Avast help please
Post by: Broadback on Oct 21, 2010, 09:03:11
Had a concerted attack yesterday of both Trojans and virus (viri?) seemed to delete all OK. Decided to use Avast and do a full scan, if found a virus in one file. However there seemed to be no information on what file not an option to delete it. Any help welcomed, by the way it is the free version.

Don't use it but found this on the avast forum from May 2009

There is a scan report.
Program settings > Reports (avast home).
Tasks > Properties (avast Pro).

Also, you can check avast log viewer for major events.

Assuming you have the scan logs set up to record events look at Scans > Logs  to see what is there. If you still cannot find anything I suggest you go to the avast! forum and ask there, the techs are online almost 24/7 and will guide you through getting the required data.
