Title: Looking for a new Modem/Router
Post by: trophymick on Oct 11, 2010, 09:10:00
As the heading says really, I think my good old Dynamode needs a rest. I have two desktops that are not wireless (Rg45), but when the kids visit they use wireless.  IDnet do a nice Netgear DGN 1000 for £61.10 (does this included delivery?), it's the top one on this page.

Are these a good router/buy, bearing in mind it should be plug and play. :dunno:
Are there better offerings out there?
I don't want a ex BT 2700.

All suggestions are welcome. :thumb:

Unless you don't feel confident configuring the router yourself, I would take a look elsewhere as IDNet are not able to offer competitive pricing on their routers.

I picked up a Netgear DGN2200 from PC World (I was desperate!) a couple off weeks ago for, I think, £53.
