It used to be good, but I don't know if it still is, or whether it's become bloated like Firefox.

I use the mail client in Sea Monkey.  I've often thought of going back to Outlook, as I use the calendar, and sync it with my phone, but can't be arsed trying to convert / import five years worth of emails stored in Sea Monkey, when it's as good an email client as any.

I've been using Thunderbird for years now and it does exactly what I want it to do.

It's everything I expect from an email client; boring, predictable and good at its job.  A bit like yer average bog-roll really.

Thunderbird is also a cross-platform email client which is very useful to those of us who are promiscuous in our choice of OS.

I use Evolution (on Linux), I'm sure they do a Windows version. :dunno:
I tried Thunderbird, but emails disappeared  :eek4: and it was far too complicated for just sending and receiving mail. :bawl:

Another Outlook vote here. (Though I used to prefer Eudora)

Never got on with Eudora, and having to pay for it didn't help either.  ;)

Ah, well, it was Adobe issue at the time. ;)

I use three at the moment.

In Windows, the bog standard IDNet webmail app.

In Linux, Evolution

Mobile, Standard HTC email app.

All three suite my needs.

For the OP.  I used to use Thunderbird where I used to work.  I thought it was fine.  No real issues or dramas.  It's very much like Outlook (what I remember of it, been a long time since I used it).

I think the big difference between TB and Outlook is that in Outlook, you have a unified Inbox, for all your email accounts, whereas, in TB, you have separate Inboxes and folders for each account.  I believe that later versions of TB also now have the option of a unified Inbox.

I thought Eudora was a Qualcomm product?

It was, but Adobe used it and issued licences to us 'outworkers'.
