Title: Netgear N version routers -vs- iPhone mac addresses
Post by: miriam_idnet on Sep 22, 2010, 16:12:11
Hi All,

You may be interested....

I have noticed some Netgear N router firmware will not accept mac addresses that do not start 00 when trying to set up a Wireless Access List.

I found you can get around this by adding the mac address to the list by changing the first 2 characters to 00, apply, back up settings. Launch the netgear.cfg in a text editor and change the first two characters from 00 to what they should be, in the case of iPhone4 its 90, save then restore the settings in the Netgear.
