Just got home from work and well the net seems to be very on and off for me - the netgear is saying all is connected, yet when the aforementioned problem occurs I can't even ping never mind access sites.

ADSL Link   Downstream   Upstream
Connection Speed   8128 kbps   448 kbps
Line Attenuation   27.0 db   13.5 db
Noise Margin   10.0 db   20.0 db

I think thats a lot higher than usual? What are acceptable ranges?

There was a bit of bad weather whilst at work mind you..
