For £60 it better come with something other than the game! I won't be buying it anyway, and wouldn't even if I wanted to at that price!

Hi guys,

I think you have been looking at the Collectors Edition.

The 'basic' version is much less.  Eg : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Gran-Turismo-5-PS3/dp/B002BWONDK/ref=pd_nr_vg_h__3?ie=UTF8&s=videogames

Have you seen the price of the call of duty black ops prestige edition?  On Amazon when released a seller has it at £299.  :eek4:

There's new copies of Guild Wars (collector's edition) selling on amazon.com for $500, and that is now something like 6 years old.

Completely different, but I just bought an out of print paperback for £35, some people were asking £150 for it. Never throw books away!

I have to agree, its amazing what has become valuable i n the last twenty years now. I have a the original CD single of Satan, by Orbital. Its really rare as most were vinyl (crossover times on the formats) and its worth about £45 now

At least it's not Duke Nukem Forever!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_Forever

It's quite possibly the most ridiculous mess up by a development studio (blowing the money on champaign instead of workers) or the biggest con ever. This thing went through over 10 years of development, failure and scandal. Either way, some bookies are now going to be cleaned out when the "never to be released" is resurrected and released.

I still have it on Amazon wish list awaiting to be notified by email of its eventual (if ever) release date.  :pig:

I bought a copy of GT5 last week, I thought I would have a quick play last night. Wrong, it needed 1.7Gb in patches downloading, 2 hours later it was already.

I bought Counter Strike: Source on DVD, it installed, connected to Steam and then wanted to download loads of updates.

Games can come on DVD-Bluray but patches are downloads same as DLC

Indeed but you don't expect the patches to be DVD sized.

Take a look at Windows7. When I installed on a new hard drive and hardware recently, the updates were over 2gb before I even started doing anything :D

It's how game patches work these days...hence download after 12am  ;)

If the patch has to be that size, maybe they should have checked the original code a little more closely.

Awww ok  ;D Saying that I always wondered why you need an explorer for Windows, they are pretty easy to negotiate as they are transparent and generally just have a handle  ;)
