A decision has been made not so much by myself that its time to move away from BT for line rental. Sky are being given serious consideration £11 a month line rental, no one here will be making phone calls. I'm only interested in how if at all this would affect my IDNet connection? Do sky take the line away from BT completely or can I still have IDNet on a Sky line? It will be happening if the answer is no lol
Have you looked at Idnet for phone line rental? they do a line only deal at £10.99 per month.
IDNet offer line rental at £10.99/month, less if you pay annually.
You should be OK with a move to Sky provided that they don't move you to their LLU equipment, in which case you would be cut off. So, if you decide to go with Sky, spell it out to them that you do not want to go LLU but to remain on the BT network.
Not myself that wants the move lol but yeah Rik that's exactly the issue I had in mind, according to SamKnows Skys LLU service was up and running here on the 21st of last month, it all sounds a little risky to me..
I'd want it in writing from Sky that LLU would not be involved.
I convinced my mum to switch to IDnet the other day. I wonder if she's checked her email for a reply. I'll have to remind her after.
I've never regretted it, Niall.
Me neither, although I've only made about 7 calls in the last 5 months :D
I use it for the 08xx calls, otherwise my mobile has unlimited landline calls, so I use that.
I don't like using the phone really. I don't give my phone number to anyone. I think 4 people have my number, including IDnet :D
We have your number, but it's in the form of an IP address. ;D
