Title: Statement of Account Email
Post by: alhenderson on Aug 16, 2010, 09:27:52
Morning All,

This morning I got an email to my work address supposedly from IDNet with a statement of account indicating that I owe them £17.99.  At least I assume that's what its telling me - there's absolutely no introduction or explanation.  Looking at my bank statement, the IDNet direct debit has not come out yet, but I haven't done anything to change it so not sure what's going on.

I thought it was spam at first given the complete lack of any kind of introduction, but now I'm thinking its not.  Just seems like a really poor way of telling me that my direct debit has failed - a quick, polite email would have sufficed - its not as if I'm trying to rip them off!  Is this IDNet's usual way of tackling these situations?

Off to talk to the bank..

Cheers,
Al.

Might just be a regular renewal notice or a scam, I get them from my ISP even though I pay by DD.

Ring support and check.

Al, give support a call to confirm it is from them, but it will be your monthly statement no doubt. I get one each month myself, even though I pay by DD.

This is the first time I've ever had one.  Or at least its the first time my work spam filter's let it through, possibly..  I'll call support :-)

Is your work email address the one registered with IDNet?
