Title: BT Engineer visit charge !!!!

BT has raised the cost of an engineer visit from £58.75 to a staggering £169.20 inc. VAT!:

This relates to a home visit to check wiring that is on the customers side of the faceplate.

I would love to see their internal justification for such a massive rise! It truely is shocking.

It will probably involve a convoluted argument about Openreach being independent, and the returns from line rental being inadequate to subsidise repairs etc etc :(

I was thinking more along the lines of a dartboard which lots of high numbers on it! :laugh:
