Title: BT speedtester well and truly stuffed again
Post by: pctech on Jul 29, 2010, 11:00:36
From my router logs it looks like I was struck by the curse of BT's DLM last night and I've been trying to run the BT speedtester but both in IE 8 and FF 3.6.8 it reports a connect refused and number of threads are 16 error

Anyone else tried it this morning?

Just tried it, Mitch, it's coming up with a 'Test error' screen after I've input my phone number.

updating my JRE to 6 update 21 appears to have cured it.

I ran a test on thinkbroadband and it had decreased to 1.2 but has not recovered to 1.4 so I wonder if TBB's network links are getting a hammering.

Try updating your Java via Java.com, worked for me
