Title: Fibre: before and after
Post by: pctech on Jul 25, 2010, 14:56:49
The result below is my current speed as measured by Thinkbroadband (I don't trust speedtest)

This is on an ADSL2+ line with 1870 Kbps downstream and 522 Kbps upstream.

Attentuation is currently 61.5 dB and noise margin is switching between 4.6 and 4.7db

I have a 63db line, but get a 3-3.5M profile, Mitch. Is there anything you can do to improve your internal wiring?

Not really as its plugged directly into the socket.

Its probably the run between the termination point outside and the socket but hopefully the Openreach guy/gal will sort that for me.

As the extension sits on a microbore piling foundation everything bar the drainage runs through the roofspace.
