Hi there, I've just recently joined IDnet and was wondering if someone could help me with my current problem. Since being able to get ADSL at my exchange 6 years ago my upload sync has always been 448 kbps but about a month ago it suddenly decided it didnt like that anymore, and I can only sync between 128 and 320. After trying various cables, filters and even buying another router the problem still persists today and I honestly dont know what else I can try.
My previous ISP, Entanet, kept telling me that according to BT there was no problem with my line, but it just seems weird that after 6 years, all of a sudden my upload sync decides to go all to pot.
Here are some details that I took from my routers info screen via telnet (it's a Draytek 2800), hopefully someone can spot something of relevance in there:

Have you had a word with IDNet support? They will need a BT speedtest result
PS Welcome to IDNetters
:welc: :karma:
Do you get the same upload speed if connected to the master socket, behind the NTE5 faceplate http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/socket.htm

My router is currently connected via the test socket. I'll do a BT Speedtest and then send the results to Idnet, hopefully they can get BT to actually do something :)
Well looks like my connection has been fixed, but atm I'm none the wiser as to how. I'd emailed Tech Support to get an update and they said BT would have a report in about 24 hours, so I settled down to watch some TV. After about 5 minutes iPlayer went off and checked router and it was resyncing. When it came back on this is what I was greeted with:
Status: Up
Downstream Rate: 5088 kbps
Upstream Rate: 832 kbps
So far it's been like this for a good 5 or so hours and everything is peachy, hopefully I'll get to find out what's been wrong and what's been done. Overall I'm very happy with the server I've received from IDnet so :thumb: chaps :)
It's the BT gremlins at work. ;D IDNet have have run a line test which forced a resync.
Email back from IDnet:
"According to the engineer notes, he reseated the line card which resolved the issue."
Sounds feasible.
