Title: Samsung Galaxy S has GPS issues...
Post by: Gary on Jul 08, 2010, 08:00:49
Well another day another phone issue, and this one cant get a GPS lock properly right now, Samsung forums are full of complaints that they cant get a lock on, handy that (get a tom tom), technology built for the masses is just so cheaply made these days, and beta tested in such a secret manner it does not represent the real world at all. Oh and my sundial stopped working today  >:( but that could be because there is no sun, didn't they beta test that either?

I think we expect far to much to much from the Swiss army knife that is the smartphone these days.

Quality in this day and age really seems to have fallen to the wayside. Now were is my Tonka toy truck from the seventies, that still works   ;)

I expect it will sooner or later come full circle, and the next big thing will be a phone that's just a phone.

I'm of the opinion that phone software has become so complex that more and more bugs are creeping in because its hard to quality check the code.
