Title: Sync speed on the downhill!
Post by: mrapoc on Jul 07, 2010, 11:31:55
Hey all

I have already contacted support, just wondered what your take on it is?

The router is a DGN2000, only thing connected to the filter apart from the telephone, nothin else hooked up at all..

ADSL Link   Downstream   Upstream
Connection Speed   6848 kbps   448 kbps
Line Attenuation   28.0 db   14.5 db
Noise Margin   12.8 db   19.0 db

Stats as of today, reset it yesterday, already dropped from my usual 8000.

Apparently during my training 6mb is the best my line can support however i've been happily synced to 7000+ since changing to max.

I should test with another filter/router and also try the test socket, which i'm not sure exists/how to get to.

mind you there has been quite a lot of static noise on the phone lately

Looking at the downstream attenuation in an ideal world you shouldn't be far off a full sync
