Title: Best mobile you've ever owned?
Post by: pctech on Jun 14, 2010, 21:24:02
For me it has to be the Ericsson S868 which is a brick by todays standards but held onto a signal like a bulldog and had great call quality, only reason I no longer have it is the battery died and could not track down a replacemrnt.

This is closely followed by the Sony Ericsson K800i for the same reasons, only got rid of that as thought I was getting a better phone

I think my Desire is the best phone I have owned, but then, I have only had 4 phones in the past 10 years or so.

It's a difficult question, as they have changed so much over the years.  If you'd asked me a couple of years ago, I'd have said the Sony Ericsson K800i.  If you'd asked me a couple of years before that, I'd have said the Nokia 6310i.  Recently, the best phone I've had for overall usability, has to be the BlackBerry Storm2, and the HTC HD2 comes a close second, but for the slightly clunky Windows Mobile OS.  Why, then, am I about to possibly switch to an iPhone, after swearing blind I would never have one?  I get bored easily, and can't resist a new gadget.   :red:

It depends on what you're basing it on. If it's just the phone, then I'd say my Sony Eriksson C902 (or was it 905, I can't remember!). If it's overall additions then I'd say the iphone, with the apps. There are still too many things that bug me about my iphone, but the bigger screen is very much appreciated at the moment as my eyesight seems to be getting really cr*p lately :(

Thanks Glenn but it left my possession about 8 years ago and is no doubt still providing sterling service somewhere in the world.

Nokia 7650, first camera phone by Nokia, colour screen mobile email and the mobile web was all shiny and new at that time, with my Genie sim card having a chat online that took 20 mins as it was so slow you could have said it in five in really life was amazing  :) Best not colour phone, my old 8210.

Nokia 6300. Small, simple, excellent call quality. For everything else, there's a Palm PDA. :)
