Anyone else getting slow download speeds (<100KB/s) sometime dropping to the b/s mark in steam. Web pages are also excrutiatingly slow - this started yesterday morning. I have reset router twice, leaving it for over an hour both times. Like ehhhh ???
Possibly related to this (http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,2068.msg33303.html#msg33303) post? The web does seem a bit glacial today.
It could actually be my router as apparently Utorrent's port is blocked although I have specifically opened a port for it and turned the firewall off :-X LIKE ARRGH
Hardware is such fun stuff. :)
Very slow here too - web pages crawling.
Can you check the other post and send ping/tracert tests to Support, Jupiter? This seems to be affecting some people, but not all, so the more info we can give them, the faster they can track it down...
Mine is fine, no problems.
Jammy. :)
All very strange. Things seem to be going ok here in Crewe today :) I'm getting over 3.9Mb/s on both thinkbroadband and speedtest.net sites which isn't too shabby for 17:20 on a weekday.
Rob.
Just tested mine at Namesco, 6400 Down, 374 up..
Ah well on the Namesco speedtest I get 6464 Down, 380 up. Always seem to get faster speeds on that tester.
Rob.
Just tested at TB 5657 down 370 up.
Speeds have been awful today with the worst seen around 1300hrs to 1700hrs,pings though looked ok until @ 1600hrs I saw 400ms+ hops at telehouse gw3 and redbus gw .(Idnet)
Have replicated some of this just now and sent the output to support.
Speeds are better now but less stable than usual.
Just run a Namesco test. Speeds are about right for my peculiar high stuck profile, 2700kbps throughput on a 3072 sync. Pings to the Beeb are at 21ms again.
Weird.

OK done. In the upper 30ms and 40ms region.
Thanks. :)
Namesco here gives 1929 throughput on a 2336 sync
Pretty much spot on for a 2000 profile.
