My PC seems to think its a jet engine with the CPU fan running at 2596 RPM (normally around 2050) and one of the CPU cores showing 47C and the other 40C (its a Pentium D 3.4GHz)
Mine was fine. It wasn't on. ;D :out:
:back:
;D
Mine's not doing so good. Had a temp peak at 78C yesterday (under heavy load, then I noticed the front fan wasn't spinning). Fixed the fan and can still take it to 71C, again under heavy load.
Idle temps are up to 35C from the norm of 27C :(

Those temps seem quite low to me. But I guess that's because my old AMD use to get to 80 degrees, and always wanted to die. :(
This PC seems fine though. Running at 50c
My iMac is running ok, fans are not any faster than ususal, but I do keep the curtains closed at the hottest part of the day and the window shut, it stays cool.
PC is fine. The 5870 card is 'only' hitting about 65 under load and the CPU (32nm i5 @ 3.6GHz) is only hitting about 45 under full load, helped by the massive heatsink (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/147097) I'm using.
I, on the other hand, was melting last night until late evening when the sun went and the wind cooled everything down a treat.

You had a breeze, or wind? My wife had wind but it didn't cool me down ;)
:grn:
Mine was about +6C over the normal temperature range, but the fans were definitely running faster.
:ithank:
A pair of sunglasses, some factor 25 suncream and a long cold drink helped my computer no end. It now wants a BBQ, should I give it one? :dunno: ;D
Yes, DR steaks and sausages, Alf. ;D
Oky Doke. I can hear its tummy rumbling as I type. :thumb: ;D
;D
Are you sure that's not mine, Alf?

I have to tip my hat to ATI on those 5 series cards. They are a work of art. There might be a few little glitches in the software, but the hardware is spot on. They run quiet, cool and power efficient. Were released over 6 months ago, and sell cheaper than the latest Geforce competitors. Geforce only just beat them in performance as well.
When it comes to CPUs though, I always seem to choose hot ones.
System seems okay here (3.8GHz/GTX295). The room gets to a pleasant 38 degrees if I close the door and play games though :)
