I think it'll be mainly in data centres and corporates Rik.

Hmmmm, interesting theory I could put to the powers that be at work as our main server based business application runs like a dog most of the time.

It doesn't mention the effects on a single drive through. I wonder if they are similar?

Could just coat the floor in this stuff (http://www.polymax.co.uk/Catalogue%20Product%20Pages/04%20Rubber%20Sheets%20Pages/23-polymax-anchor.htm). (I do not recommend any supplier, just the first google link). They use similar stuff on submarines to make them silent apparently.
