Is there a way to see how many adsl users there are in a particular village?
not exchange number's just village?
also anyone know how to find out how many properties are in a village?
the one i am intrested in is Stoke Hammond Buckinghamshire.
I know samknows lists number of users on an exchange (soulbury) but this exchange serves a few villages.

I don't think BT will release the numbers for a village, but you could ask.
Premises in a village= Electoral Roll, County Planning, physical count on Google Maps.

physical count on Google Maps.
Ouch thought of doing that but lost count of where i was after about 30 :)
Print out the map and write the numbwer on top of each house?
Would the parish council be able to help? http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/moderngov/mgParishCouncilDetails.aspx?ID=411&LS=1
As of 2007, there were 359 properties in the village http://www.stokehammond.co.uk/html/parish_plan.html see towards the bottom of the page.
As to ADSL users, Dean, I think you'll find it very hard to get that information. Even if BT agreed to give it to you, they would probably only do so for their own retail customers. Maybe use the local media to start a campaign?
kinda reminds me of the village that bought + installed their own broadband service..

gotta hand it to them though, that was initiative, and sometimes you just gotta push the wheel a bit to make it turn for you.
sad, but thats how it seems sometimes doesn't it.
