Title: New & having problems!
Post by: Rudds on May 15, 2010, 09:54:07
Hi Everyone,

I am new here on IDNET and due to go live on Monday so looking forward to leaving AOL after 9 years, hopefully this is as good has it says on tin!

Anyway I am having a problem paying my first account and keep getting the following "Sagepay Error: Our payment processor Sagepay are currently experiencing difficulties so we cannot process you payment at this time, Please try again later."
3 days now I have this problem and after emailing customer support I was told everything is working OK, is it me or what???????

Must admit the support contact is a little frustrating, hopefully I'll get used to it, or better still not need it.

Have a good weekend everyone

Paul

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. :welc: :karma:

I assume you're trying to pay by card? It sounds like the card processing service is having problems. Unfortunately, I can't talk to anyone to check over the weekend.

Personally, I would recommend using direct debit as the payment method, I don't trust even IDNet with a CCA on a card, it doesn't leave me in control.

What's the problem with support contact?

Thanks for the welcome guys.

No problem with support staff Rik, its just getting used to having limited contact times but I can get used to that. In fact the support staff are real professional compared to AOL's Indian script readers LOL

Incidently when changing my netgear D834g router on Monday do I select 'Use Static IP Address' or 'Get Dynamically From ISP'

Thanks again
Paul

Set it to 'Get Dynamically From ISP'

What they lack in quantity, they make up for in quality, Paul, you won't spend ages queuing, it's a free call, and whoever answers will deal with your problem right the way through. We'll fill in the gaps as much as we can, but some areas are beyond us, eg payments or password issues.

Leave your router on Get dynamically, you'll always get the same address, but just let the router do it for you. :)

Rik, Sagepay is what is used for one off payments by card. I used it for paying my annual invoice to ge the benefit of using my credit card.

IDnet support is top notch.

The hour's "look" limited but i have found when a major problem occurs out of hour's the service status indicator is updated (this is atrue reflection not as most isp's do a static all good service page) and they fix faults out of hours. Just because you cannot get hold of someone by phone does not mean they are not looking at fault's.

And yes fault's do occur but you will find they are rectified as soon as possible. and more importantly they will admit there is a fault.

I have never known a company more committed to customer support than idnet (apart from the one i work for, and even some of our support staff are lax).

Also althougth this is an un-official forum you will find staff (including owners & director's) do frequent these forums on a regular basis.

And no i do not work for them. i am just a customer like yourself.

Rik am i back in good book's?
