There's an announcement over in the PlusNet (http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=plusnet&Number=2463000&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=7&fpart=1#Post2463014) forum on ADSLGuide that may be relevant (3rd para esp) to anybody on MaxDSL with very slow speeds (or stuck on the 2Mbps cap)- it looks like BT are finally trying to get the system working properly.
