Hey guys,
Hope I'm not speaking too soon, but I'm coming up to that 'magic' 14 days and wondering if I can expect a 3db drop with these stats.
Too many errors?
Cheers.

They don't look too bad to me, qweezy, but BT are a law unto themselves.
Thanks.
Will have to see what happens if I get to the 14!
Im pretty happy though as I think this is longest I have held sync for years.
Top notch advice on getting the 2700 ;).
Hang on till at least day 15, qweezy, as BT also count differently to the rest of the world. ;) The 2700s seem to have been a boon to so many of us, it's a shame they're not sold 'officially' in the UK.
Okay thanks.
I'll post back in a few days to report any changes!
Fingers crossed :).
:fingers:
Plus toes, legs and eyes. ;D

I saw the 2700's for sale on Dabs once a year or so back.
Aren't Dabs owned by BT?
They are nowdays, used to be independant but BT brought them a few years back
That could explain them having stocks of the 2700 to sell...

They are classified as discontinued now :dunno: but they have them on Amazon, new http://www.amazon.co.uk/BT-Business-Hub/dp/B001F4XS68/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1270997691&sr=8-1 thats loads of cash for one. But they have some for £15 new
Disaster!!!! ;D
eBay?

I know, I was surprised as well , Rik :)
No changes and slightly lower sync :(.
Have a word with support, they'll be able to check your line stats and see if there's a reason.
Is there any way the Target Margin can be reset?
Ask support ;D
They got BT to move mine from 15 to 9 but the exchange soon put it back to 15 a few days later because of small errors on the line.
What Paul said, qweezy. IDNet can get BT to force the changed, but if it gets kicked back up, it's very rare for BT to do it again.
Hello again.
Emailed support which replied incredibly quick (4 minutes ;D) and the request has been put in for 'unbanding'.
Apparently this should go through later today!
Top marks for support, didnt even have to make a phone call!
More fingers crossed that I can hold at a lower Target Margin.
Good luck. :fingers:
When should I expect the 'Unbanding'? Also, do I need to reboot the router for it to take effect?
I haven't seen it drop from 15db yet.
Thanks.
It's usually done within 24 hours. Re-booting would do no harm. :)
Hmmmmm, well its been over 24hrs now.
Rebooted several times with no changes.
:(
I think I'd be tempted to seek confirmation that your margin has been reset, you don't want to mess things up by continually rebooting.
Multiple re-boots are a very big no-non, qweezy, they can be seen as instability and put you right back where you were.
Yeah, I understand that but the Margin hasnt dropped back at all.
You need to check with support, unfortunately.
Support have confirmed the 'unbundling'.
Not much has changed. My db for UP seems to have fallen to 6db, but DOWN has never moved from 15 or more.
Unbundling and noise margin are two separate things, qweezy. BT use Banded Profiles when a line has been unstable, effectively saying "This is the range of speeds your line will support." That's been removed, but your router has still negotiated a connection with a 15db noise margin. Either the line is noisy or the target NM has been set at 15db and not been lowered.
