Title: Want to Change Modulation to ADSL1 - How?
Post by: abc on Apr 09, 2010, 11:31:12
Hi there, happy to be here with all the IDNetters...

Anyway, I am trying to tweak my router's settings but don't know how to do it as I am not a technical person.
Can someone here please help me to give me a step-by-step guide to changing my router's modulation from ADSL2+ to ADSL1 please? (what to type in command, etc)

I am using the Speedtouch 585v6. Please do advise... Will truly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum. :welc: :karma:

I assume you're on WBC and want to move back to Max? If so, you can't do it yourself, you need to call support and they will do it for you.

Oh that means I have to change my package? :o

Yes and no. You'll be on a Max modulation but still a WBC package, so you retain the extra bandwidth allowance and, to judge by what we've seen here, a higher upload speed. It's also free to change. :)

Oh ok... That's a relief. Thought I have to forgo the extra bandwidth...   :red:

Thanks Rik!
