Title: Turning off router
Post by: Noreen on Apr 06, 2010, 10:07:18
Later this morning my electricity is being turned off while my meter is changed. Can someone remind me of the correct procedure for turning off my Netgear DG 834 v3 router prior to that.

Just power it down at the mains, Noreen. The exchange won't see that as a problem. I had my meter changed a few weeks ago, power was off for five minutes.

1. Pull out the plug or 2. turn off the socket. ;D

I needn't have worried. When the electrician checked the meter he said that it didn't need changing for another 4 years, that there must be a mistake in their records. ;D

We got a dinky little box instead of the old Victorian electro-mechanical device. Very swish, even sets the time itself.
