Title: DGN3500
Post by: wecpcs on Apr 05, 2010, 14:19:20
I see that the DGN3500 is getting a lot of bad press on the official Netgear site, with constant disconnects and no signs of a firmware date to fix the problem if even possible as 2 months have already passed from when it was first reported. Most users are now sending them back for refunds and others are demanding a recall. I have the DGND3300 and would have liked the DGN3500 with its 1gb switch, but not now.

Thanks for that, Colin. Like you, I would like to move to 1Gb, but it seems that there is little choice in the marketplace. :(

Is there only one Gigabit router for home use that works then? >:D

I find it's best to just use your existing router with a Gigabit switch, like the HP ProCurve 1400-8G (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135000).

I would agree with that its a much cheaper option.
