Hi
Swapped a Netgear DG834PN router for a Netgear DGND3300v2 Rangemax Dual Band Wireless-N and get the above while trying to connect.
Faithfully copied all the settings down but just can't connect !!
From googling the error , the suggestion is that the login / pasword is incorrect but I've swapped back to the DG834PN and here I am now posting this - also logged into my customer account with no problems
Please help if you can !
It sounds like you've entered the password wrongly into the new router.
Does this still work you think?

BT Test Login:
The login is:
Username = bt_test@startup_domain
Password = (ignored)
Once authenticated, you can browse to a single site,
"http://www.bt.net/digitaldemo" which currently consists of a single
graphic image.
It does.
Tried the BT Login but no joy !
Their is a LAN and Wireless connection and as you can see from the stats below the connection speed is fine.

BTW , are support closed until Tuesday ?
Denis
Hi Denis
Yes, support are closed till Tuesday.
If you have a router that works, there can only be one of two issues with the new one:
1) It's faulty
2) You have entered either the username or password incorrectly
The latter is the most likely, given that the router has made a physical connection.
It's difficult to really help you on this, as I can't ask you what username and password you are using, obviously, and so can't check anything for you. Neither can I contact support and get them to identify what happened on the login attempts. At best, you could email them but as you have a connection, it's unlikely to be treated as an emergency, and will probably not be replied to until Tuesday. Ideally, you want to phone them while you're at your computer and attempting to log in - they could then immediately see what was going wrong.
Sorry. :(
Afterthought, the password you need to use is the one originally supplied to you by IDNet, which may not be the same as the one you use to login to your accounts page.
Rik
You got me digging out the email I received when I first joined and indeed the password was different but , alas , the login was also and I know that the login that I have now, works on the old router.
Anyhow I tried all the combinations of old and new , logins and passwords , but to no avail.
I'll give Support a ring on Tuesday - hopefully I don't have a duff router.
Thanks for your help.
Denis
Sorry I can't give you a more helpful answer. :(
Do you have anyone who would let you try the router on their line?
Sucessfully connected and as suspected , user error rather than hardware malfunction !
I had initial connection problems when I joined IDNET and my login AND password were changed - found the changed password hidden away in the correspondance , and bingo !!
Cheers
Denis
Glad to hear that, Denis. Thanks for letting us know. :)

Thanks for that Denis.
