Title: Possible Routing / DNS problem to website
Post by: gti2win on Mar 29, 2010, 12:09:16
Hi

Im having problems getting throught to a site, before i ring tech support i wondered if anyone else could try for me with their idnet connection, see if they can see it

www.banzai-clan.net

If i try to ping the site, all packets are lost, but i can view the site from another ISP no problem, ive also used my iphone through wifi to rule out pc problem, and the iphone has same issue, so im assuming its my connection thats the issue

TIA

Hi and welcome to the forum. :welc: :karma:

Straight through for me... That rules our IDNet's name servers, so I'm not sure why you should have a problem. Have you cleared your cache? What browser are you using?

It may be that your IP address has been blocked for some reason. Try emailing them.

It is. Everything points to your IP address being blocked - IDNet can reach it too, so we know routing is OK.

Interestingly one of the admins of that forum was/is an idnet customer (Coz). I don't know how long you've been with IDNet but perhaps you inherited a previously banned IP address.
