Title: Could the router be wrong ?
Post by: old Bill on Mar 18, 2007, 09:49:50
I called C/S on Friday to switch off my interleaving as I am going to be making a lot of Skype calls over the next few weeks and I understand that interleaving can interfear with them or thats what I was told. They said it would be switched over yesterday. I have borrowed a friends Belkin to keep me connected and that says I still have Interleaving on the line. My sync rate is still 4800kbps. Just before it died yesterday I had a look at the old router and it said that it had resynced at about 1.00 am. Could my friends router be showing the wrong line stats regarding interleaving or would my sync rate have increased ?

Check your ping times, Bill. That's the quickest way to see whether interleaving is on.

It may be that interleaving has not yet been turned off by BT. Give suppport another ring on Monday and they will sort it out with BT, and it should happen nice and quickly!
