Title: Commodore again!
Post by: MoHux on Mar 15, 2007, 19:01:22
I thought this article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/6454113.stm) might be of interest.   Especially to the more 'mature' members!!  ;D

You haven't sold your Amiga have you Avenger??  It could be in for a revival of interest!

Apart from the fact that Commodore no longer own any rights to the Amiga. Having passed through several hands, it's now split between Amiga Inc (who own the software - OS4), Hyperion (who I believe still own the rights to previous versions of the OS), Eyetech (who are one of the few who have a license to sell the machines (A1) with OS4, and one or two other manufacturers still trying to do something with the platform.

I was a hardcore Amiga user until about 2 years ago (with a heavily souped and towered A1200). I never made so much money as when I finally dismantled and sold the parts on Ebay LOL.

Still have 3 A1200 motherboards and an A500, as well as a (very large) box full of original games, here.
