Researchers have produced a mobile phone that could be a boon for prying bosses wanting to keep tabs on the movements of their staff.
Japanese phone giant KDDI Corporation has developed technology that tracks even the tiniest movement of the user and beams the information back to HQ. It works by analysing the movement of accelerometers, found in many handsets. Activities such as walking, climbing stairs or even cleaning can be identified, the researchers say.

I'd confuse it, I hardly move at all. I am so glad I'm out of the rat race.
I'd just forget to take my phone with me!
Mine's usually only switched on when I'm making a call.
A new marketing opportunity... A programmable mobile phone stand that moves or shakes in carefully devised patterns so your boss thinks you're working :D
With any luck you could start an "arms race" with the people that make the phone so every time they learn to detect your device as not being real activity the user ends up paying for an upgrade :)
;D
I wonder if it could tell if you were seeing the bosses secretary bye erm.... certain movements ;)
