don't work for me ???
Hi there, walker, I have set it so your email is now hidden from public view. Just for anyone wondering and future reference; the option is available where AvengerUK indicated (the option label is "Hide email address from public?").
Adam
thanks Adam but when i go to members lists its still there or is that just me seeingb
does the box have to be ticked or not
It's worth pointing out that, when you check your own profile, your email address will show, even if you have it set to hide. No-one else will see it, though, if you have that box checked.
Avenger and I have an envelope and if clicked its email adress
And on members list as well
And i did tick box
I've just checked your profile, your email is definitely hidden.
ok ta
It confused me when I joined too. :)

nice one, thanks. Thought me TARDIS was knackered for a mo. :o
It is somewhat confusing as it displays your email to you, but not other members. It works that way due to the way access management is implemented; you can see anything you have access to.
thanks for the explanation Adam. :)
Is the main Idnet site down as all i get is Cannot find that page
opps got main page but when click order Cannot find that page again
There seems to have been an outage between 13:12 and 13:32, I lost PPP at that time, but not synch. At 13:17 I regained PPP (router re-boot) but only had partial connectivity, eg some websites, some email.
I have also had problems acessing this forum and IDNet, from a non IDNet connection.
All seems fine again now.

I'm not sure I can allow that sort of language in here, Lance! :)
Once i press Order now it says "Cannot find that page"
Perhaps you not want me to join lol
It might be simplest to give them a call - 0800 0267 237.
thanks

I'm at work! Our IT is managed by BT and I assusme we have our own central (seeing that there are about 3000 people on site).
Our contract with BT costs a massive £24m -ish a year!

Also had a problem around the same time lost connectivity to DNS server no 1 for some reason although I still had adsl synch and router was telling me I was still connected to the net, couldn't access web sites or download mail though.
Did a disconnect from net and couldn't reconnect for several minutes due to authentication failures, re-entered my username and password into router and reconnected straight away - strange ???

Very similar to my symptoms, Sheltie, I just used a re-boot to clear the session instead of re-entering my username... Perhaps they've given us the new central to play with between ourselves. :)

WoW!! You must all be online nearly as much as Rik! :P :out:
LOL!
I just can't get the super glue off the keyboard, Mo. I think Sue uses it to keep me quiet. :)
Update from Simon:
Telecity had a power outage this afternoon, at around 13:12.
I'd say it was exactly 13:12 myself. :)
