Comodo Tips
Pend Delete Erases Malware
You want to delete a file on your PC but your system howls, "You cannot perform this action because this file is in use by another application."
Surprise! The file you want to delete is malware and the "other application" is itself. Most malwares don't allow you to delete their files. But with Comodo System-Cleaner's Pend Delete feature, you can mark those files for deletion. Your PC will delete the marked files next time you start it up with NATIVE API, before the malware wakes up and starts defending itself. Keep your system free of malicious software with Comodo System-Cleaner.

Or a windows operating file. Or a file being used BY ANOTHER PROGRAM!?! Like MS word still open while you try to delete the document your viewing.
If you get that far down the malware road, just use a virus scanner or cleaner.
As a security editor - I'd advise against the use of such unlocking tools. They can lead to the road to hell, allowing deletion of innocent yet essential files.
I respect Commodo's firewall (and use it here), but this is putting too much power into the hands of ill advised users.
The old adage applies, a little knowledge is a bad thing. You need more than a little for a tool like that.
Steve.
If I have had a file I really don't like the look of and get that message (basically a virus/malware that my AV can't delete) I just remove the "are you sure you want to delete this" question and then write a tiny macro to end the process and immediately delete the file =)
Tried and tested for many years without a hitch, although I haven't had a single virus since I started using Windows7 several months ago....
