Title: I am back
Post by: Tina on Jan 27, 2010, 17:53:05
Most people won't remember me, but I used to be with IDnet and used to post here. Life got rubbish and I had to give up my house/pets/internet/phone. I ended up in hospital for all of last year, and am currently in mental health rehab.
Anyhoooo today I got told I  could start applying for flats/apartments to live on my own again :) This brings me to thinking about internet/phone  for a new place. I had no choice but to get mobile broadband and a mobile when I moved. And to be fair mobile broadband hasn't been too bad. At the end of 2009 I had to renew both my mobile contract and mobile broadband as rehab doesn't have a land line, so I'm stuck in contracts for 18 months.
I would love to come back to idnet for broadband, and have a *proper* connection again, and I also see they do phone packages now too  but can I really justify the cost of a landline  phone/broadband and having to also keep my mobile broadband/ mobile phone contract ? I *think* I heard somewhere you can lower your packages, which would make it cheeper, but I'm not sure.
I sooooo wanna come "home" to idnet :)

Hi Diss

Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time, and I hope you are feeling better soon.

You'd have to check the small print with your mobile provider, some tie you into a package, others to just a contract. You may be able to get ADSL2+ with IDNet, which offers higher speeds and larger bandwidth packages, but you need to do some small print checking first.

Welcome back to IDNetters, I did not have the pleasure of reading your posts previously but am impressed that you describe your return as coming 'home'. Good luck to you, and I look forward to reading your posts in the future.

All the best. :thumb:
