Hi, long time lurker here, got moved over to ADSL2 today and just ran a BT Speedtest with these results
Download speedachieved during the test was - 6433 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :12243 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 888 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 6500 Kbps
will my profile increase over the days, my router stats are
Connection speed 12244 kbps
Attenuation 40db
Noise margin 4.4db
thanks
Well its good for the profile.Your profile should begin to rise soon towards the downstream connection rate.
Welcome to the forum. :welc: :karma:
You're in your training period, things will get better.
Sorry my manners :welc: :karma:

thats good news, thanks for the help and karmas :)
Have one from me, too :karma2:
I had to ask similar questions in my early days :)
Steve
things are looking up :fingers:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 10366 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 1000-99999 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :12243 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 888 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 10000 Kbps
one concern I have is that when I was on Max my SNR was a rock solid 6db, now on ADSL2 it is 4db and dropped to 3db late last night but had no disconnections but is now back to 4db.
Thanks again for your help. :)
Hi BD
You're on the right profile for your sync speed, and apparently getting more speed than the profile. ;) ADSL2+ is inherently less stable, in noise terms, than Max because it uses higher frequencies, but it generally holds up OK.
