Title: Windows 7 feature
Post by: Steve on Jan 06, 2010, 09:28:23
Any use to anyone or is anyone using it already? Windows GodMode. I think it just pulls all the relevant control panel shortcuts together into one folder.

TBPH I don't see the point - just hit the Windows key and start typing what you want, it searches all the program shortcuts, control panel items and so on. It's much faster than navigating with one of those new fangled horrid little mouse thingies. >:D

Thanks, Steve, hadn't come across this before, it certainly works with 64bit Windows 7. :thumb:

I think they call it "plug and pray" these days, Rik. ;)

DO NOT use this in Vista 64. It does not work apparently. But it does in all other flavours and Windows 7. It's like a long list of Control Panel settings all from one place, to save you having to search for them.

If you open control panel and just type "a" in search box you get the same thing

That's clever.  Works in XP.  I can't imagine ever wanting it but I like it.  :)
