Title: Microsoft Security Essentials
Post by: quandam on Dec 30, 2009, 17:55:15
Hi!

On a thread here over the past 10 days someone suggested that the free Microsoft Security Essentials could be of help re malware etc. I downloaded the programme and over the past week or so my PC reacted like it was running through genuine Scottish porridge :eek4:

Clearly the programme did not agree with something else I had installed on the PC.  Wondered what the problem was and tried many things. Deleted MSE and hey presto! all back to normal (minus porridge!) :thumb:

The poster meant well and was happy with the programme, however, I report this just in case you may download the programme and experience 'porridge' problems as I have. ;)

Thanks, Q. Such software can be a real resource hog.

Rik

You will know what I mean when I say 'genuine Scottish porridge'. Aberdeenshire Council fill the potholes with it :thumb:

Our family used to pour it into a drawer to 'set, then cut slices from it. :)
