Here we go again. :fingers:
If they're patching a big IE bug, I guess that means the end of IE? :)x
;D
Every month I seem to be spending a lot of my valuable download limit on MS patches and bugfixes
I know what you mean, Bob. It can be really bad when you get a new machine from a lazy supplier and find it needs months of patches.
Problem is Rik, they're all getting in on the act, if you buy a TV or Digibox, you have to endure months of updates and OTA downloads before the thing works as it should
Even a digital camera bought last week needs a connection to the web for so called "upgrades"
Tell me about it. The Bluray player I bought earlier in the year demanded an update immediately. :shake: Everyone assumes you have an internet connection, and many people don't.
My next door neighbour rants at the TV for always telling him to go to one website or another, and he refuses point blank to get a computer
My uncle is like that. :)

Presumably it wouldn't have known it needed an update if it wasn''t connected. ;)
The manual told me to connect, Steve. :(
What's a manual ;D
That bit of paper that you throw away with the box. :)
Got seven updates this morning.
I'm waiting a day or two this month. ;)
I got 9 updates this morning at work. :eek4:
I bit the bullet and got 13.
I only had 2 windows and 2 office, I feel left out ;D
I'll send you some of mine, Glenn. :)
2 windows, 2 office, 1 driver update.
I've not done my vista or xp machine yet :eek4:
Oooo...I got nine too (7 for vista and 2 for office including a 15meg patch for IE that I no longer use, Firefox FTW)
