Title: email routing
Post by: cavillas on Nov 16, 2009, 20:22:05
Just a quick question, do Idnet route their own email through google servers?  I have had 2 emails returned because they had .exe files that had been zipped and it points to google to find out why they were rejected.   These were going to a SKy account.  In the end I renamed them as jpg files and theys eem to have gone through.  Or is it that Sky use google mail.

That's a nusiance so it will have to be zip and renaming them as jpgs in the furuter, it definately works. :thumb:

It's not a nuisance, it's for security reasons. :)

Security is a nuisance though! Passwords to remember, antivirus to run ( at least on windows) etc

It may not get through an antivirus scan if a .exe is seen within the zip. And that's the way it should be.
