Title: LLU
Post by: pup on Nov 05, 2009, 14:36:10
What would be the best LLU operator in the Camborne (http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/WWCAMB) area?

I'd probably go with Sky, Pup.

I agree, from what is available, the exchange should have WBC on it now too.

mate in porthleven went from IDNet to sky (all glittering prices/incentives).  Now tied in to a 15 month contract, 10Gb monthly max and dire speeds after 6pm (0.5 or even 0.0 at times) due to Sky throttling. jftr, Sky support are not interested in his probs and blame bt as per usual.
He wants to come back to IDNet btw.

Thanks Rik.

LLU Sky available but Porthleven around 3 miles away from exchange so I don't think he'd have any real joy there.
He's working on getting out of the sky contract now and is stating that the service supplied originally is not the modified service he is now getting. I wish him luck in this instance and will let you know if he meets with any success.
jftr IDNet gave him around 2500+, sky at the moment of posting is around 2 to 300.  Nuff said eh!

Cheers guys, just considering my options.  I had heard that sky connect (bt resale) was dire, but hopfully if I decide to go that way the llu should be ok, as I currently sync at 8128 with a 7150 profile, but bt seemed to have capped it to around 2mbs due to exchange congestion.

Have you checked whether you can get WBC?

I've done very well from it, moving from a 2.5M profile to a 4M profile.
