Title: Windows 7 Issue - permission to modify files in this network location
Post by: psp83 on Oct 28, 2009, 16:33:46
Hi All..

There seems to be a problem with the latest version of NOD32. Version 4.0.467 on Windows 7.

The problem i'm getting is when saving a file from a browser i get the following "you dont have permission to modify files in this network location" and thats even when saving to the desktop.

There is a post over at wilders forums about this : http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=254272

Hope it helps anyone else with the same annoying problem.

Paul

I'm using ESS V4.0.437 which is the latest version, and I'm not getting that problem, Paul, must be something to do with the AV version only for some reason.  ???

Not sure if it helps, but... it seem windows 7 uses files permissions. I don't understand it. And even while logged it, it does not seem to be able to agree if I am Admin and/or Ben when logged in. You can right click on a file and go to security settings to gain user permissions, however I do not know how to grant programs this. I have an entire HDD that I am trying to get old files off of.  :rant2:

Ben from what you are saying, you need to 'inherit' the permissions on the slave drive
