A new mobile phone charger that will work with any handset has been approved by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a United Nations body.
Industry body the GSMA predicts that 51,000 tonnes of redundant chargers are generated each year.

This is a good idea. I would like to see them given away free with new phones for a couple of years or so though.
That would be a great thing for all concerned manufacturers make less,so less waste everyone should be happy great concept :thumb:

I think it would be better to sell them as an accessory from the start. Let's face it, nothing comes for free so you would be paying for it if it was included. I think I'd rather have the choice of paying for it only if I needed it.
