Title: Network disruption - March 3, 2007
Post by: Simon_idnet on Mar 02, 2007, 16:34:17
Tomorrow (Sat 3rd) we will be installing a new router into the core network. There is likely to be a couple of brief interruptions to service whilst this work takes place.

Regards
Simon

Any idea of timings, ie when and how long, Simon?

Also, should we expect to just see PPP sessions drop, and will we need to re-boot routers at our end?

Thanks.

I'm not sure of exact timings as we have a lot to get through tomorrow. I would think that the window will be between 10am and about 4pm - assuming all goes well.

Routers should just automatically log-in again on their own. If not then a router reboot usually clears it.

Thanks for the clarification, you know how I like to ask questions. :)

Shall we send you down some cyber pizzas?
