Title: Please explain
Post by: mrapoc on May 04, 2006, 20:34:25
Can somebody explain the difference between
QuoteDuring the time period 30 April 2006 to 04 May 2006 your bandwidth use was:
0.78 GB Download
0.41 GB Upload
and
QuoteOver that time period = 4 days that equates to 5.88 GB/Month (download) and 3.1 GB/Month (upload)

what is the difference between these two and does it mean ive used 5.88gb already ???

Thats how much you are estimated to use if you carried on downloading at the 0.78gb

It means that if you continue to download at your present rate over a period of a month you would use 5.88GB. Downloads are counted towards your usage allowance or charged for at £1 per GB if you exceed your monthly allowance of 2GB on Home Lite or 30Gb on Home 2000 or Home Max. Uploads are not charged for by IDNet.

I hope that this answers your question. :)

dats wot i presumed it was  ;D
its a bit of a scare if u see the figures 5gb on ur 3rd day of the month  :o
i think that page could be explained better or worded correctly such as
Estimated bandwidth at this rate:
or
Estimated total at end of month

Yeah you could be right Mrapoc, it's inferred from the "5.88Gb/Month" - the "/" being shorthand for "per". Not completely clear !
