Post by: Baz on Oct 04, 2009, 14:24:34
I should know this but its been ages since I needed to do this but how do you set up your web space with IDNet and when done how to put some photos in it so only friends/family can see it, if that makes sense.

unless theres an easier option

Baz, if you want only your family and friends to see your pictures you'd be better off setting up your free Photo Gallery, you can set the permissions on that so that only the people you want can see them.

What Ray, said, Baz, the Gallery gives you the controls you want. Log into your accounts page to set it up if you haven't already done so.

When you're in your Gallery, Baz, you'll see an option to edit permissions at the left. I don't think there's a tutorial as such, it's more a case of play around and experiment. In order to access the Gallery, people need your personal URL, so it's fairly safe to play around and learn before handing it out.

The alternative would be to use the .htaccess file. I recall Paul provided one that did something like this a while ago.
