Title: Bad pings and WoW
Post by: Danni on Oct 03, 2009, 16:10:11
Well, any current problems? My pings have just (within the last 15 minutes) jumped from the normal 40ish ms to over 100ms. We were trying to take Wintergrasp in World of Warcraft and it was nearly unplayable for the last few minutes for us (though the Horde seemed able to kill us fine).

Anyone else having problems, or is it a fluke? I don't like losing because of lag :P

There could be a problem following this week's load balancing issues, Danni. In the past, we've seen there's been a need to fine tune the system after such an issue, with high pings affecting just a few customers. Drop support an email with as much evidence as you can, eg pings to other sites, but don't necessarily expect an answer before Monday.

They seem to have sorted themselves out (pings to WoW server are now a more respectable 69ms- more than the average of 50, but perfectly okay).

Was just bad timing, most likely.

 :fingers:

If not, collect the evidence and pass it to support, Danni.
